Link Microtek launches rapid-response system integration service
Link Microtek, the manufacturer and supplier of RF and microwave components and associated hardware, will be using this year’s DSEi exhibition as a platform for launching a new area of its business that will be of direct interest to customers in the defence sector.
BuilLink Microtek is able to provide a complete service for such systems from its new premises in Basingstoke, covering design, fabrication of parts using the company’s in-house workshop, system assembly, and testing of finished units at up to 40GHz in Link’s own test and environmental laboratory. Examples of two integrated systems will be exhibited: a radio combiner and a microwave test system assembly.
At DSEi, the company will also be highlighting the comprehensive range of non-ITAR electronic-warfare equipment produced by French defence manufacturer Amesys, for whom Link has recently been appointed UK representative. The Amesys range comprises a variety of products for the interception, analysis, demodulation, decoding and recording of signals.
On display from Amesys will be a communications intelligence receiving system, an airborne data acquisition unit and a ruggedised PC and PDA for military use.
Rounding off the Link Microtek display will be a selection of other military microwave products, including a range of antennas for receive and transmission applications and RF safety instruments for personal protection against exposure to high-power radiated fields.
