Programme targets digital classrooms

Although classrooms are now digital, there remains a strong need for students and teachers to be able to print a variety of items – from homework to tests to lesson plans. However, with software downloads and kludgy apps which may or may not be effective, printing from mobile devices can be a challenge. As well as this, many schools do not have the resources to spend tens of thousands to buy new printers with built-in mobile printing capabilities.

To help schools maximise their existing resources, the PAL programme consists of product discounts, idea sharing on social media, professional services and a year-long photo contest. The product discounts include 20% off a Lantronix xPrintServer, a hardware solution designed to make printing from mobile devices fast and hassle-free.Three versions of the xPrintServer are available: the Home and Office Editions, which are compatible with iPads and other Apple iOS devices, and the Cloud Print Edition, which is compatible with Android devices, Chromebooks and other devices running Google’s Chrome browser. Each version of the xPrintServer allows users to print to thousands of models of USB or network-connected printers, whether wired or wireless, without any software to download.
