The “Munich Electronics Summit” on November 10, 2009 will be the first meeting in Munich of top international managers from the electronics and electronics production industries and their customers. During productronica, the world’s leading trade fair for innovative electronics production, around 50 CEOs and managing directors from the electronics and electronics production industries will discuss future strategies for companies in these industries and talk about tomorrow’s trends. They will be accompanied this year by Dr. Ram Charan, one of the world’s leading management consultants and the guest of honour at the Munich Electronics Summit.
The event mentor will be Dr. Jürgen Gromer, the long-standing President of Tyco Electronics; the host will be Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director of Messe München GmbH. The munich electronics summit will be held annually in future, i.e. alternating between the two world’s leading trade fairs productronica and electronica.

A new framework for the CEO Round Table during productronica
With effect from 2009, the previous Executive Round Table during productronica will be replaced by the new CEO Round Table which will open the munich electronics summit for the first time in 2009. In a public podium discussion during the productronica Forum in Hall A1, leading representatives from the industry will discuss innovation strategies for companies wanting to cope with the world economic crisis. The CEO Round Table will be introduced for the first time by a keynote speech which will be given this year by the guest of honor Dr. Ram Charan and will then be discussed during the Round Table. The following CEOs will take part in the discussion in 2009:

Dr. Ulrich Bez, Chairman and CEO, Aston Martin Lagonda Limited; Dr. Ram Charan, management consultant and CEO coach, Director, Austin Industries Inc. and Six Sigma Academy; Joseph Donahue, President Global Automotive Division von Tyco Electronics Ltd.; Günter Lauber, CEO, Siemens Electronic Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG; Andre Papoular, CEO, Assembléon B.V. and Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Chairman, President and CEO, Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.

The discussion forum of international captains of industry
After the round table discussion, around 50 CEOs and managing directors will meet for an exclusive discussion followed by dinner. In a private atmosphere they will discuss the impetus provided by productronica and will talk about ideas, future-oriented technologies and general political conditions in the electronics industry. Dr. Charan will chair the discussion and will provide, through his expertise, food for thought from his many years of work with CEOs from the world’s most successful companies. The fireside discussion will be attended by around 50 top managers from internationally operating companies from the USA, Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The industry’s annual innovation platform
The first Munich Electronics Summit will be staged as part of productronica, which will take place in Munich for the eighteenth time from November 10 to 13, 2009. With this new event, the trade fair will further extend its position as the world’s leading trade fair and international innovation platform. productronica is held every two years alternately with electronica, the world’s leading trade fair for components, systems and applications, at the New Munich Trade Fair Center.

Visitors to productronica can order their tickets online at the online ticket registration. Visitors who have received a guest ticket or an e-guest ticket can also register here.
