PEI-Genesis sets up new team to handle redistribution sales
PEI-Genesis, the franchised assembler and distributor of multi-pin connectors, has greatly expanded its redistribution activities by creating a dedicated team of three people to handle sales through distribution partners.
WithIn view of these significant benefits, broadline distributors are beginning to recognise the value of working together with PEI-Genesis: redistribution sales have increased by more than 20% in each of the last 2 years, and the company believes that there is great potential for growth in this sector.
The new team is based at the PEI-Genesis European headquarters in Basingstoke and is led by redistribution manager Meriel Grubb, who will handle external sales as well as developing the company’s future redistribution strategy. Reporting to her are Deb Allen and Raj Hansrani.
Deb Allen recently joined the company from ITW, where she held the position of customer service manager. She also has 6 years’ experience as a team leader in customer service at ITT Cannon.
Raj Hansrani is an experienced member of PEI’s internal sales team, having been with the company for nearly 6 years. Prior to joining PEI-Genesis, he worked in telemarketing at Future Electronics.
Commenting on the formation of the redistribution team, Meriel Grubb said: “Even though we have already seen a significant increase in redistribution sales, we are eager to tap into the massive potential that we believe the sector holds for us.
“Some distributors may perceive us as being a competitor, but in reality we are not a distributor in the conventional sense. We are a franchised assembly house for the leading connector manufacturers and as such can offer a service that delivers major benefits to both distributors and their customers.”
