Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. announces that the board of directors of Tranzeo has appointed Mr. Patrick N. Smith as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Smith was previously lead director for the Board and replaces Mr. James A. Tocher who will continue to serve as a board member and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company
Mr. Smith's appointment was recommended by the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee of the Board and subsequently approved by the Board. Mr. Smith was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wavesat Inc., a global leader in mobile broadband, providing advanced semiconductor solutions, until Wavesat's acquisition by Cavium Networks in February of this year. Mr. Smith was extensively involved in Wavesat's Indian deployments. Mr. Smith was previously VP Systems Integration and Technology Planning for Sprint in Kansas City.

Mr. Tocher stated, I am very pleased that Patrick has agreed to increase his involvement with the Company and take a leadership position as Chairman of the Board. His appointment will allow me to focus my energies on our continued business development. We have recently had success in deploying our WiMAX equipment in India through two of India's largest telecommunications carriers. I plan to continue to lead this business development and welcome the support of Patrick as chairman.

Mr. Smith stated, I am excited to have the opportunity to accept the role of Chairman of the Board. This is another important step in the evolution of Tranzeo's corporate governance; Tranzeo now has both a Chairman and a majority of the board of directors who are fully independent. Tranzeo has made significant advances recently through the evolution of its business to focus on WiMAX equipment for global markets, most particularly India. Our goal is now to capitalize on these advances that were made under Jim's leadership.
