Online ticket registration opens for visitors to electronica 2008
Although electronica 2008 does not officially begin until 11 November, it has already started online: Those planning to visit electronica 2008 can learn about show highlights, exhibitors and the range of conference and background events for the world's leading fair for components, systems and their applications at www.electronica.de. Online ticket registration for visitors has also just started and, by registering early, visitors worldwide can benefit from lower entrance prices and enjoy numerous advantages both during the run-up to and at electronica 2008.
By rAfter ordering the entrance ticket to electronica online, visitors receive an e-mail containing a link to their personal ticket voucher. This voucher must be printed out and taken to the show and can also be used en route to the New Munich Trade Fair Centre since it can be used as a ticket for all means of public transport (MVV). At the show’s entrance to the voucher is exchanged for a regular entrance ticket. Visitors already registered have a separate entrance area avoiding any queues.
Online ticket registration brings other advantages. Pre-registered visitors with a personal password have access to the selected White Papers of iSuppli market research institute. In addition, everyone booking their ticket in advance online receives information on the range of background events or the exhibitor area, tailored precisely to meet their interests, before the event begins. The voluntary information that the visitor gives when answering the pre-registration questions helps to put together this individual data. This information is also used to further develop electronica which, since the first event in the year 1964, has always been based on the needs of its participants and is thus justifiably considered an important industry event for the global electronics industry.
Every visitor who registers online for electronica by 30 October will be entered in a competition: The organiser, Messe München, is offering a prize of a self-fly helicopter flight in conjunction with Jochen Schweizer Events – accompanied by an experienced flight instructor – or an Amazon.com voucher to a value of 359 euros.
New electronica opening times
In line with the suggestions of exhibitors and visitors, the organiser has changed the opening times of electronica this year. Consequently, the halls will be open between 9am and 6pm on the first two days and exhibitors will be available to the international public between 9am and 7pm on Thursday. On the last day, the show will close its gates as early as 5pm.
