Mouser kicks off World Cup competition
The World Cup is just a few weeks away and Mouser Electronics is celebrating a summer of football with a contest that allows designers to share their passion not only for ‘the beautiful game’ but also for innovative electronics design. The Mouser team in Munich has built scoreboards to keep up with all the matches and scores (and penalty shootouts no doubt)
Now they have launched the Build a Scoreboard Contest which invites designers to test their electronics mettle by building a working electronic scoreboard.
To be eligible, participants must follow Mouser on Twitter and tweet a short 60- to 90-second video of their working scoreboard.
The tweet should tag Mouser’s Twitter handle (@MouserElecEU), the hashtag #BuildAScoreboard and a short description of the scoreboard build.
Designers can tweet their entries between 14 May 2018 and 30 June 2018, and the contest is open to EU residents only.
Designers of the scoreboards that show the correct teams and score in the final match will have a chance to win one of the following prizes:
- First Prize: FlashForge Finder 3D printer, an easy-to-use, fully assembled 3D printer, plus 1 kg of black PLA filament.
- Second and Third Prizes: A Mouser ice bucket to keep drinks cold at the next barbecue.
All winners will also receive a prize pack containing a Mouser T-shirt.
Mouser will determine the winning entries following the final game on 15 July 2018, and then notify winners by email.
