The fifth MOST Forum on April 23, 2013 in Stuttgart/Esslingen (Germany) will give insight into the future generation of MOST Technology. Following the significant milestone of the latest generation MOST150 having gone into series in 2012, next generation MOSTnG is being defined. With MOST150, for the first time, the MOST Ethernet channel is being used to transmit IP data within the vehicle on the road, stated Dr. Christian Thiel, MOST Cooperation Administrator.
Now, requirements for the future network, combining infotainment applications and driver assist functions in one MOST network, are being investigated. The MOST Cooperation acknowledges the high variety and quality of presentations that we may look forward to at the upcoming MOST Forum. International experts from industry and academia will present the latest developments and research results on this leading automotive network standard. Several carmakers and suppliers will give an outlook on future technology directions and applications with MOST.

Exciting MOST Conference Program

After opening the conference and welcoming the attendees, Henry Muyshondt, Technical Liaison of the MOST Cooperation, will guide the program. Presentations by POF Application Center, Sumitomo, TE Connectivity, Avago Technologies, Hamamatsu Photonics, and Relnetyx will introduce solutions and scenarios for the future MOST physical layer. During the lunch and networking break all attendees and speakers are welcome to visit the exhibition area to learn about available MOST solutions and realizations in brand new vehicle models. The afternoon events will begin with a section on MOST Compliance and Quality presented by Ruetz System Solutions and Tektronix. This section will be followed by a deeper look into MOST network and system architecture by K2L and Analog Devices. Following the afternoon discussion and exhibition break, the Research Center for Information Technology, Daimler and SMSC will round up this promising conference program with further presentations on aspects of network and systems architecture such as advanced driver assistance systems and IP architecture as well as an outlook into the MOST future.

In the exhibition area, various companies will present their innovative MOST solutions and applications. Amongst the exhibitors will be the MOST Cooperation. Further exhibits will be by AUDI AG, BMW Group, Daimler AG, Hamamatsu Photonics, K2L, Ruetz System Solutions, SMSC, Tektronix, Teledyne LeCroy, Telemotive, TTTech Automotive, and others. Several partners will again provide their knowledge and expertise to the MOST Forum.
