Molex Copper Flex Products Asia Awarded ISO/TS-16949:2009 Automotive Quality Certification

Developed by the IATF (International Automotive Task Force), ISO/TS-16949:2009 certification aggregates the requirements of the ISO 9000 standard with AVSQ (Italian), EAQF (French) and VDA 6.1 (German) automotive requirements. Certified suppliers must demonstrate a commitment to quality management system standards, continual improvement of manufacturing efficiency, product defect prevention, and reduction of production variation and waste in the automotive supply chain.

The mid-2008 acquisition of Taipei, Taiwan-based subsidiary Aflextech, Inc. expanded Molex capabilities in the design and manufacture of flex circuits and assemblies for automotive applications in addition to other markets such as medical, military, and data communications.
