mimoOn appoints Hermann Eul and Peter Meissner to its Advisory Board
mimoOn, a pioneer in LTE software licensing for Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms, today announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Hermann Eul and Dr. Peter Meissner to mimoOn's Advisory Board. Prof. Dr. Eul was recently member of the Management Board of Infineon Technologies AG and on February 1 he took up his new position as President of the newly formed Intel Mobile Communications GmbH. He strategically advises mimoOn in the world of silicon for cellular 4G markets.
Commenting on their appointments, Prof. Dr. Thomas Kaiser, CEO of mimoOn, said, Prof. Dr. Eul's and Dr. Meissner's long lasting experience in mobile communications markets will greatly support mimoOn's ambition to become the leading LTE software supplier for SDR platforms for mobile devices and small cells. We are very happy to have these two pioneers, covering the whole value chain from silicon to applications, on board of our fast growing start-up company.
Prof. Eul commented, One of mimoOn's key expertise lies in SDR technology for mobile terminals, a trend which will become reality in the next few years resulting in shorter innovation cycles and lower silicon cost. The highly dynamic nature of the cellular ecosystem makes it an attractive task to advise the LTE SDR pioneer mimoOn in this upcoming technology era.
Dr. Meissner added, The LTE roll-out requires smaller and smaller cells in order to make high data rates happen, especially in scenarios with a large number of simultaneous users. Due to its leading partners and outstanding algorithmic and software developmemt expertise, mimoOn is well positioned in this rapidly growing market and I am looking forward to support mimoOn's development from a technology focused start-up company towards a worldwide leading software supplier.
