Maxim To Demonstrate Highly Integrated Solutions for Embedded Designs at EMBEDDED WORLD Exhibition & Conference 2012

At the Maxim Tech Lounge in Hall 4A, Booth #122, situated on the stand of Maxim’s distribution partner AVNET MEMEC, the company will demonstrate product highlights in the areas of Green Power/Energy Management and Signal Chain.

Among these are: the fully integrated analog front-end ICs MAX2991/MAX2992 for G3-Powerline Communications in noisy industrial environments; the MAX13256, a very space-saving 10W H-bridge transformer driver for isolated power supply designs; Maxim’s compact energy harvesting solution MAX17710, the industry's first IC to integrate all of the power-management functions for ambient energy harvesting as well as for charging and protecting micro-energy cells (MECs); or the MAX14821/MAX14824, the industry's smallest, full-featured solution supporting connectivity with sensors and actuators using the efficient and future-oriented IO-Link protocol. Live demos, presentations and reference designs and on-site consultancy through Maxim’s product experts will help to solve any design challenges ‘Embedded’ designers might face today.

Maxim will also be present on the stand of its distribution partner AVNET SILICA in Hall 1, Booth #334. Demos include the MAX5214/MAX5216, the industry’s lowest power 14 and 16 bit precision DACs, which accept a wide supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.25V. Furthermore, the MAX15118 will be featured, member of a new family of high-efficiency step-down regulators with integrated power switches, operating from 2.7V to 5.5V and delivering up to 18A of output current. With their extremely small packages, these devices save board space and enable compact designs.

Finally, at the Embedded World Conference 2012, Maxim will introduce an innovative solution in the area of ‘embedded security’. Christophe Tremlet, Security Marketing Segment Manager at Maxim Integrated Products in Europe, explains an easy way how to turn an ‘off-the-shelf’ smartphone design into a feature-rich and secure Point-of-Sale terminal, by adding a single IC which does not break any hardware nor software architectures (Wednesday, Feb 29, from 03.00 – 03.30 p.m., in the ‘Cryptography and Embedded Security’ Session II).
