In their latest worldwide HDD forecast and analysis for 2010-2014, industry analyst firm IDC estimates that disk drives with SAS interfaces will account for over 64 percent of all enterprise disk drive shipments in 2011. IDC further estimates that by 2014, disk drives with SAS interfaces will account for a 72 percent share of all enterprise HDD shipments.(1)
