In an effort to increase revenues and capture a larger share of the electronics contracting market, Libra Industries has acquired the Ohio-based Tetrad Electronics. Libra Industries will assume full ownership of Tetrad, an EMS company with 2013 sales of $10m, effective immediately.

Established in 1983, Tetrad Electronics is an electronics contract manufacturer that produces PCBAs. Thanks to the acquisition, Libra Industries will add the ability to manufacture cable assemblies, wire harnesses and over-molded assemblies to its existing services. Prior to the acquisition, Tetrad Electronics operated two manufacturing facilities in Willoughby and Hudson with 60 employees, all of whom will join the Libra Industries team.

“Combining Libra Industries and Tetrad Electronics brings more than 65 years of experience and manufacturing expertise to the table,” stated Rod Howell, CEO and owner of Libra Industries. “We are looking forward to joining forces with Tetrad’s team, and together creating an expanded list of services that will make our customers more competitive and profitable”.
