Imagination Technologies, the leading multimedia chip technologies company, has been awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. The Award has been presented to the company for its success in licensing groundbreaking technologies used at the heart of many of today’s most iconic and successful consumer electronics products.
Imagination, a FTSE 250 company [LSE:IMG], designs cutting edge silicon IP (intellectual property) cores which are used by the world’s leading semiconductor and consumer electronics companies including Intel, Texas Instruments, Renesas Electronics and Samsung.

Imagination Technologies Ltd wins the Award for its innovative silicon IP across the areas of graphics, video, display, communications, connectivity and processing. These technologies are licensed by half of the world’s top 20 semiconductor companies and used in many of the best known and best loved consumer product brands including Apple, Nokia, Sony, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Dell and Samsung.

The company has previously won Queen's Awards for Technical Achievement in 1992; for International Trade and Innovation in 2000; and Enterprise Innovation in 2004.
