Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®; NASDAQ: IDTI), the Analog and Digital Company delivering essential mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, today announced that it will have a major presence at Electronica 2010, which will take place between November 9-12 in Munich, Germany. Visitors to the IDT booth will see how the company has rapidly evolved to become a leading supplier of analog and digital solutions for a wide range of leading-edge technologies and products in sectors that include industrial, consumer, entertainment and medical electronics, along with wired and wireless telecommunications. IDT will be demonstrating several products from its portfolio of mixed-signal solutions, including high-performance signal conditioning repeaters for multi-gigabit, serial-differential protocols, and industry-leading solutions for Serial RapidIO® and PCI Express® protocols.
In addition, IDT will feature products from its video, enterprise computing, capacitive touch and high performance timing product lines. One of the key demonstrations will be the industry’s first Enterprise Non-Volatile Memory Host Controller Interface (NVMHCI) Flash Controller. The goal of the Enterprise NVMHCI standard is to drive the adoption of PCI Express-based Solid State Drives (SSDs), which will offer reduced power consumption and a significant improvement in storage performance when compared to SAS/SATA-based SSDs.
“IDT is a very different company from the one I joined, and I am excited about our transformation to The Analog and Digital Company. We now develop semiconductor solutions that interface digital systems, such as processors and memories, with each other and with the physical world, which requires both analog and digital technologies,” said Dr. Ted Tewskbury, president and CEO at IDT. “We are taking advantage of this opportunity at Electronica 2010 to not only showcase some of our exciting new products, but also discuss our transformation with key customers and industry leaders.”
In addition, Fred Zust, vice president and general manager of the Communications division at IDT, will be presenting on interconnect choices and challenges for embedded applications. His presentation, titled “Interconnect Choices in the Complex World of Embedded Applications,” will compare common interconnect choices for embedded applications, examine the challenges of increasing speeds, and discuss how different interconnects can coexist in complex environments.
