Atmel maXTouch mXT1386 Powers Touchscreen for Lenovo’s IdeaPad TabletK1
Atmel Corporation today announced Lenovo has selected the Atmel maXTouch mXT1386 controller to power Lenovo’s IdeaPad TabletK1. The new Lenovo IdeaPad TabletK1 runs on Android’s 3.1 version operating system, a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and 1GB of memory, and has a 10.1-inch, 1280-by-800-pixel display with a black border around it. Lenovo selected the Atmel maXTouch mXT1386 to deliver superior battery life and faster response time in its breakthrough new touch device.
The stylish Lenovo IdeaPad TabletK1 includes a 2-megapixel front-facing camera centered above the display, a micro-HDMI port, a headphone jack and a docking port. Along the left side of the device are the power and volume buttons, screen-rotation lock, and a microSD card slot. The Lenovo IdeaPad TabletK1 includes its own social networking hub and integrates Twitter, Facebook, mail, Gmail, and calendar access. The Lenovo IdeaPad TabletK1 also offers several applications bundled into the tablet including the ArcSoft Gallery and several entertainment applications including Netflix, mSpot Movies, Zinio Reader, Amazon Kindle and a video player.
The Atmel maXTouch mXT1386 offers Lenovo IdeaPad TabletK1 users longer battery life with better power consumption, along with a much faster response time at over 150Hz. These features offer users a robust touch interface for the many features on the Lenovo IdeaPad TabletK1 that comes in red, white or black casings. The tablet is currently shipping worldwide.
