James is an applications expert for one of the worlds leading adhesives companies. He specialises in bonding dissimilar materials, especially plastics and metals in structural applications. Jeremy is technical director of one of the best sealants businesses in the UK, specialising in motor, HGV and agricultural applications. They are just two of dozens of experts exhibiting at the forthcoming IASE (Industrial Adhesives, Sealants & Encapsulants) Exhibition on 21st October at the National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham.

Under the headline “Lets stick together” and with BASA support, all types of adhesives will be exhibited for use just about everywhere in industry including: acrylic, oxime, cyanoacrylate, silicone, UV cure, epoxy (1 part, 2 part) methacrylate, polyurethane, electroconductive, heat resistant, hot melts, PVAs, anaerobics, phenolics, polyamides, plastisols and pressure sensitive.

In a whole range of industries from electronics and medical to pharmaceutical, marine, automotive, HGV, rail and furniture, through packaging, electronics, construction, general industrial, electrical, aerospace, telecoms and construction, adhesives are well known as a way to reduce costs and augment quality. Adhesives Sealants and Encapsulants frequently offer major cost savings with enhanced performance throughout the development lifecycle of a product, often replacing mechanical fasteners or achieving engineered solutions simply not possible otherwise. Frequently adhesives allow fresh designs to be implemented.

Explains Mark Newby MD of organisers Newbycom “In these days of high speed internet searches how easy is it to get:
- a hands on demonstration
- a truly interactive quick-time conversation with an expert
- an instant comparison of suitability and performance
- consideration of your problem by physical scrutiny of drawings or sample
- an interested human being willing to invest in understanding your problem, your business ethos, your technology capability, your needs, in other words a personal relationship that you can rely on.
You could spend days on the internet, e-mailing, phoning and getting reps to call – or instead you could go to the IASE Exhibition for all of these in one place and also get many other VIP visitor benefits.

The exhibition is being held at the centrally located National Motorcycle Museum, adjacent to the NEC, and is open from 10am to 3pm. Entry is free. The Museum offers abundant free parking immediately outside the exhibition entrance, and the Organisers are providing Complimentary Luncheon Vouchers worth £5 and Complimentary Museum passes worth £6.95 for qualifying visitors who register in advance. To take advantage of these special offers visitors need to be currently employed manufacturing professionals involved in design, production, purchasing or manufacturing management. Visitors will also have access to the successful FAST (Fastening & Assembly Technology) Exhibition at the same event. See more at www.adhesives-show.com
