Juki Automation Systems announces that it has been awarded a Global Technology Award in the category of Selective Soldering Systems for its FlexSolderWave FSW620. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, November 15, 2011 ceremony that took place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany during Productronica 2011.
The FSW620 is a traditional mini-wave soldering system capable of supporting board sizes up to 18 x 18 depending on nozzle configuration. The FSW620 is the only machine in its class to offer up to four autonomous acting soldering nozzles, allowing the use of four different sizes and/or types of nozzles without changeover.

Additionally, the mini-wave selective solder pot can be removed and easily replaced with a larger pot with an 18 full turbulent wave in order to run boards specifically designed for traditional wave soldering machines, giving the customer a “real” opportunity to eliminate their wave machine.

The FSW620 has been designed to support a wide variety of nozzles. It can support wetted nozzles down to 1.8mm, traditional mini-wave nozzles up to 25mm, and even a special miniature wide wave that is 43mm wide. The FSW620 also offers both 0° soldering and 7° soldering to accommodate these various types of nozzles.

Premiering in 2005, the Global Technology Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.
