Fluke Networks, the leader in network installation, monitoring and analysis, today announced that, effective Feb. 7, Ingram Micro Inc., will serve as its preferred master distribution partner in the U.S. for products including Fluke Networks’ EtherScope™ Network Assistant, DTX CableAnalyzer™, OptiView® Network Analyzer, as well as for products from AirMagnet™ and Visual Network Systems. Under the expanded distribution relationship, Fluke Networks will offer resellers a robust registration program and dedicated support at Ingram Micro, enabling them to better satisfy their customers and deliver more value at each transaction.

Fluke Networks’ decision to build a stronger partnership with Ingram Micro, the world’s largest technology distributor, was based on the growing success of its 10-year relationship and the new resources and specialized expertise offered as part of the Ingram Micro Advanced Technologies Division.

“The increased demand for network intensive technologies, such as unified communications, virtualization and data center consolidation, has created a sizable opportunity for resellers to use and sell Fluke Networks’ tools and certification products,” said Ken Bast, general manager and vice president, Ingram Micro Advanced Technologies Division, U.S. “As Fluke Networks’ preferred U.S. master distribution partner, we are able to offer more resources and support services, including field sales representatives and dedicated Fluke Networks specialists. This expanded relationship also opens the door for new relationships with existing Fluke Networks partners that we don’t do business with today and enables us to provide Fluke Networks with a much more targeted growth strategy.”

As part of its new relationship, Ingram Micro will now offer Fluke Networks’ Reseller Registration Program, which is designed to reward resellers with additional discounts for uncovering new customers and opportunities. Resellers interested in participating in the program should contact their Ingram Micro sales representative. The Ingram Micro sales representative will work closely with resellers and their end customers to demonstrate the products and help close business opportunities.

“Enhancing our relationship with Ingram Micro will position us to capitalize on the demand for the ‘must have’ network test and cable certification hand-held tools that we’ve become known for,” said Gary Staley, vice president of sales, Americas, Fluke Networks. “Ingram Micro and its new Advanced Technologies Division have the infrastructure and market intelligence we need to continue our success as a leader in network performance.”

Fluke Networks and Ingram Micro will also increase the resources for reseller partners by investing in infrastructure that will assist with pre-sales support, licensing and a Fluke Networks expert within Ingram Micro to assist with reseller development and enablement. This additional infrastructure will better enable resellers to understand and successfully sell Fluke Networks’ solutions.
