Fairchild Semiconductor to Focus on Power and Mobile Solutions at i-SEDEX

Fairchild Semiconductor Power Solution Demonstrations at 2011 i-SEDEX:

Fairchild Semiconductor provides solutions for all lighting applications including linear fluorescent ballast, compact fluorescent ballast, LED and HID. With our commitment to energy savings and meeting the most stringent regulations, we have developed innovative products that maximize performance while reducing board space, design complexity and system costs. During the show, Fairchild will exhibit solutions for various indoor, outdoor and street lighting solutions, including the Single Stage Flyback and Boundary Mode PFC Controller (FL6961), the Quasi-Resonant Current Mode PWM Controller (FL6300A), and the 4Ch. LED Current control IC (FAN7346).

Fairchild provides a complete AC-DC switch mode power supply solution for high, medium, and low power applications. These solutions help achieve increased efficiency, reduce stand-by power, and meet the industry's 1W initiatives. On display at the show, Fairchild will demonstrate solutions such as mWSaver™ Technology, which offers best-in-class no-load power consumption. Also on display will be the FSB127H, which is part of Fairchild's next generation power switch series. The FSB127H will demonstrate how to meet 2013 ErP Lot 6 standby power regulations with one chip. A Secondary Synchronous Rectifier Controller, the FAN6204, will demonstrate Dual Switch QR Fyback topology to fulfill the 90W slim NB adapter; and Advanced Low Voltage solutions will be on display, including the power stage dual asymmetric MOSFET module, the FDMS36xxS.

Fairchild Semiconductor Mobile Solution Demonstrations at 2011 i-SEDEX:

Fairchild will illustrate how its substantial portfolio of analog technologies, combined with customized solutions and system-level expertise are integral in solving design and application challenges in the mobile space at 2011 i-SEDEX.

For example Fairchild will show designers how to increase audio power for better sound, without impacting battery life using the subsystem with Stereo Class-G Headphone Amplifier and Mono Class-D Speaker Amplifier (FAB2200UCX). Fairchild will also demonstrate how it continues to leverage its expertise in the USB space in order to provide solutions that improve functionality while conserving space and power with devices such the MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) switch (FSA3200) and the USB-Compliant Single Cell Li-Ion Switching Charger (FAN540X).

Additionally, Gene Kim, director HV Strategic Marketing for Fairchild, will participate in the technology seminar. His presentation, entitled Power Semiconductor Market and Forecast, will be held on Oct. 13th 14:00 – 14:30 in KINTEX (Seminar Room #301). Additionally, Jong-mook Cho, senior manager Korea HR will guide Fairchild's recruiting plans during the recruiting event held by KSIA.
