Everlight is invalidating Nichia’s patents

In response to Nichia’s September 1st press release claiming a patent infringement action has been brought in Tokyo District court against products Everlight manufactured, Everlight has been invalidating Nichia’s patents all over the world, including the alleged infringing patent.

Since 2006, Research and Patent team of Everlight have been analyzing the validity of Nichia’s patents and significant evidence was found. The result of both civil and administrative lawsuit decided Nichia’s patent invalid on July 2010 and March 2011 in Taiwan. Everlight is invalidating Nichia’s patents all over the world to defend its patent rights.
