Energy Micro appointment drives sales
Energy Micro, the energy friendly microcontroller company, has announced the appointment of Jürgen Hoika as VP Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in Munich, Hoika heads up a rapidly growing sales team in the region supporting the company's ARM® Cortex(TM) M3-based low power EFM32 Gecko microcontroller family.
JürEnergy Micro has fast become recognised as one of the world's true innovators in ultra low power microcontroller design and I very much look forward to helping customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa apply this new technology to gain significant competitive advantage, commented Jürgen Hoika.
Energy Micro's VP Sales & Marketing Andreas Koller said, We're very excited that Jürgen is joining the Energy Micro family. His extensive market knowledge and proven customer focus will help boost Energy Micro's presence in Europe and inspire even more customers to discover how EFM32 Gecko microcontrollers can support whole new generations of energy sensitive products.
In benchmark tests, Energy Micro's EFM32 Gecko microcontroller family has proven capable of consuming a quarter of the energy required by other 8, 16 and 32-bit microcontroller solutions. The EFM32 Gecko microcontroller was launched in October 2009 and is now in full production. Details of the software and pin-compatible Tiny Gecko and Giant Gecko products have since been announced, offering users a wide choice of package and memory size configurations with the same energy friendly performance and a comprehensive tool chain enabling customers to design systems with the highest possible energy efficiency.
