ByteSnap Design , an embedded electronics design and software consultancy, announced today that it has become a Silver Partner in the Windows Embedded Partner Programme and will be using the new status to attract new customers and partners to its stand at Embedded Live 2010.
ByteSnap Design gained its Silver Partner status through its combination of successful delivery of client projects and in house Windows Embedded experience. Indeed ByteSnap Design has some of the most experienced Windows Embedded developers in Europe with track record of developing, and deploying both Windows CE and Windows Mobile products.

BytesSnap Design will also be showing an updated version of its lightweight SnapUI cross-platform user interface development tool. The updated version provides new features including camera controls, XML-driven UI design as well as serial and socket-based connectivity. SnapUI user interfaces can be designed for one platform (e.g. a PC) and re-deployed to another (e.g. an embedded device) with only minor configuration changes.

ByteSnap Design will also be showcasing its bespoke embedded electronics design, embedded firmware and board design services at the Embedded Live Show 2010. ByteSnap Design will be displaying some of the products and client solutions that helped gain its new status. Products being demonstrated will include:

* A control board for an autonomous vehicle

* The acclaimed Energy Optimizers Plogg Network Controller

* A Windows CE based PDA for use in the theatre industry

* Rotalink absolute encoder - a miniature real-time position monitoring device with an onboard battery

* Hoeft & Wessel’s skye.dart platform, which ByteSnap Design ported to Windows Mobile 6 (helping H&W secure a Windows Mobile logo for the product)

* An iPhone app that monitors and reports on your driving

Dunstan Power, director of electronics design company ByteSnap Design, said, “We have been awarded Silver status in recognition of the number of CE engagements that we have won and are continuing to win. We see it as important recognition of our expertise in this field – we have some of the most experienced Windows CE programmers in Europe, engineers who have been using the operating system since version 1. We believe that it is important for us to differentiate ourselves from competitors who have basic Windows CE knowledge and to show that we truly are experts in the field.”
