The 13th edition of electronica India and productronica India 2012 ended on a high-note with record number of exhibitors and visitors. The number of trade visitors at electronica India and productronica India 2012 recorded 11,085 visitors, a growth of 8 percent over the previous edition. 315 exhibitors presented their products, solutions and services at the trade fair from September 11 – 13, 2012. Both exhibitors and visitors were extremely satisfied with the outcome of the show.
Exhibitors from 25 countries came to the 13th electronica India and productronica India 2012 that was held in the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The show also featured the first of its kind SMALED conference that was powered by industry leaders. The conference provided attendees with unique opportunities to examine, learn and debate business-critical manufacturing issues through industry discussion, technical collaboration and information sharing with international experts in the field.

Rajoo Goel, Secretary General, ELCINA, emphasized on the need for policy reforms in electronics manufacturing. Goel added, India imported more than 40 billion US-Dollar electronic products last year and it is also projected that Indian electronic bill would exceed the import oil bill by 2017-2018. Industry has been working closely with the Government to create policies to overcome this and emphasize on the need for electronics manufacturing in India. An event like this helps creating a platform for international and Indian companies to work together.

According to.Darryl Dasilva, CEO, Messe München International India Pvt. Ltd,Once again, the exhibition has held its position as the meeting-point for the electronics industry across Asia. Domestic demand is expected to be driven by growth in income levels leading to higher off-take of electronics products, automation demands of corporate sector and the government's focus on e-governance. India is on the road to become a hub to become the electronics manufacturing hub. Exhibitors agreed that companies can expect stable growth in future and are banking on innovative future technologies.

This has been our third participation with electronica India and we were impressed with the quality of visitors. The show gave us the opportunity to reach out to electronics design engineers to demonstrate our wide product range & innovative tools to them. It has helped us connect to our prospective clients for new business while fostering our existing ones. Also, it is an excellent networking platform for buyers and sellers. We get to meet representative of all major electronics brands at one place.
