TTI spotlights military, aerospace & space, transportation and industrial sectors at Electronica
TTI, will spotlight three emerging sectors for the company during Electronica: Mil/Aero; non-automotive transportation and industrial. TTI understands that the Military, Aerospace & Space sector needs specialist support. The company recently achieved bronze status in the SC21 program which is recognised by industry as a clear and robust demonstration of a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
The Paul Green, who heads up TTI’s Transportation team in Europe agrees with this sentiment: “We have focused key staff across Europe to support the differing needs of the customers in this market”, he says. “In Germany and Spain, electric and hybrid vehicles are big news, while in the UK and Italy rail, off-road industrial and agricultural vehicles are all key markets. We hold a number of key franchise, such as TE Connectivity and Delphi, which offer innovative new products to support customers in these areas.”
One of TTI’s new areas of activity is off-board design. The Industrial and Power sectors, explains TTI’s Ronald Velda, especially industrial automation and machine build applications, require a different product mix from TTI’s traditional PCB-based customer base. “Key suppliers such as TE Connectivity & Molex, have a wealth of new technologies which help customers differentiate their end products”, he details. “Customers’ product development cycles are shortening, so it is vital that our suppliers respond with appropriate new component solutions with which we can stock and identify new projects.”
