Vishay has revealed that it will be exhibiting its latest industry-leading solutions for a wide variety of applications at electronica 2012. In its main booth A5.143 and Automotive Innovation booth A6.A13/14, Vishay will be demonstrating a range of technologies in several product categories, including capacitors, resistors, inductors, diodes, power ICs, optoelectronics, and power MOSFETs.
Vishay’s technology line-up for electronica 2012 includes:

Capacitors:
Vishay will demonstrate the performance differences between tantalum and MLCC capacitors under applied DC voltage, while highlighting the advantages of tantalum capacitors in audio circuits and MLCCs for ESD protection. Featured devices will include 146 CTI aluminum capacitors with high package integrity; fixed frequency chip antennas for household applications; and HVArc Guard devices to prevent surface arc-over in high-voltage applications.

Resistors:
Vishay will be highlighting Power Metal Strip resistors with low thermal EMF and high stability; PLT thin film chip devices with special passivation method enhancement; and resistors optimized for very high-temperature sensing to 700 °C. In addition, the company will exhibit high-current thermal fuses with switching temperatures of 234 °C; the 34 THE non-contacting sensor with output voltage positioning capability; and NTC thermistors for highly accurate temperature sensing. Vishay will also demonstrate the differences in pulse load handling capabilities of thin film surface-mount, MELF, and CRCW resistors.

Inductors:
High-efficiency inductors will include IHLP devices for LED driver circuits; IHCL coupled inductors for LED SEPIC converter circuits; and the IWAS wireless charging Rx coil featuring a small size and large charging area.

Power diodes:
Highlighted products will include ultrafast devices with low forward voltage drops for power conversion efficiency; diodes in the LLP510 package for ESD protection in USB 3.0 ports; snubber diodes for power efficiency in LED driver circuits; and FRED Pt diodes with superior softness for inverter EMI performance.

Optoelectronics:
Vishay will highlight devices with detection ranges from 10 mm to 2 m for proximity sensing, in addition to white LED and module lighting for office environments.

Power MOSFETs:
On display will be PowerPAIR power MOSFETs that offer advantages in size, peak switching voltage, converter efficiency, and low-side temperature for buck converter circuits. In addition, the company will showcase the E Series of MOSFETS, which offers adaptor efficiency, peak switching voltage, and high-temperature advantages for PFC circuits.

Power ICs:
Vishay will highlight devices with high point of load efficiency in DC/DC circuits for telecom modular systems, in addition to high-efficiency 100 V power stage full-bridge solutions with phase shift capability.

Vishay will also participate in several sessions at electronica 2012, including the electronica Automotive Conference, taking place on Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the International Congress Centre. In addition, the company will take part in the Embedded and Automotive Forums being held on Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, in Hall A6 of the Munich Trade Fair Centre.
