German National Meteorological Service Relies On E+E Elektronik Sensors
E+E Elektronik has today announced that it has been awarded the contract from the National Meteorological Service of Germany (Deutscher Wetterdienst; DWD) to equip its weather stations with new humidity/temperature transmitters. Operating almost 2000 weather monitoring points and stations, the DWD is Germany's highest authority for meteorology, weather and climate.
The Under even the most challenging of ambient conditions, the humidity/temperature transmitters feature high-precision and reliable measurement results, thanks to the monolithic HMC01 measurement cell at the heart of the transmitter.
The measurement cell is optimally protected against condensation and chemical contamination due to the unique E+E sensor coating, a strong factor in persuading the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute to procure these transmitters.

With the new humidity/temperature transmitters from E+E Elektronik, both humidity and temperature measurements can now be taken using a single instrument. Measurement results will be transmitted digitally in future rather via analogue means, another benefit of the EE33 series.
The first hundred transmitters are scheduled to ship during August 2013.
