Double win for Anglia at Elektra Awards
Anglia won both Distributor of the Year and Company of the Year at the prestigious Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards 2007. The Elektra Awards, organised by Electronics Weekly in association with Electronic Product News and EDN Europe, were presented at the Hilton Park Lane in London on Wednesday evening in front of an audience that included the elite of the European electronics industry.
“APresenting Anglia with the Distributor of the Year Award, Elektra host Sir Trevor McDonald said, “The judging panel felt the company combined a strong commercial performance in a very challenging market with investment in business initiatives which are part of an ambitious plan to reshape the company and take it to the next level.”
Anglia was a joint winner of the Company of the Year Award with wireless semiconductor supplier picoChip Designs. According to the Elektra Awards organisers, “Company of the Year was chosen from the winners of each of the individual categories. Technology innovation and business success is taken into account and the judges identified who demonstrated outstanding achievements.”
The Elektra Awards are the most prestigious product technology and business awards in Europe, and recognise the achievements of individuals and firms across the European Electronics industry. They bring together the whole industry in a celebration of the companies and people that are achieving the highest standards and driving the industry forward.
