Two connectivity leaders are now connected, as the Deutsch Group is now TE Connectivity. The combined entity offers TE Rail customers the broadest portfolio and systems expertise required to connect power and data safely and reliably throughout the entire train, anywhere in the world.
The former Deutsch Rail Group has always been synonymous with technology leadership within the railway industry, with state-of-the-art in-house design and manufacturing capability that enable it to provide the highest quality products to fulfil customers’ needs. Many of its products have been specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of individual propulsion platforms – one of its specialist areas.

TE Rail’s rectangular connector range has now been extended with the addition of the former Deutsch Rail portfolio of circular connectors and industry standard connector systems. With these consolidated product offerings, TE is now positioned to provide an unparalleled range of connectivity products and solutions for virtually all applications, including those for the harshest of rail environments. This means that customers can now source all of their rugged connectivity solutions from a single supplier without compromising their product choice.

At the Innotrans 2012 tradeshow, from September 18-21 in Berlin, Germany , TE Rail is pleased to showcase several solutions from its low-voltage portfolio at booth #315 in hall 12:

•The UIC series of products offers fully standard compliant solutions covering braking, power supply and audio coupling of car sets. Customers benefit from the knowledge that a strong history of performance mitigates risks in this connectivity area.

•Traction and power systems need to be maintained over life of the train, and this involves decoupling the power cables in confined space. TE Rail solves the space issue and lowers the service cost and connection risk with straight and angled connectors that split power and data allowing highly efficient disconnect and reconnect functionality. These rugged connector systems eliminate existing terminal boxes allowing train designers the flexibility to achieve an optimal design result.

•Circular and Rectangular Series: for all rolling stock and signalling application
