Delphi Delivers Common Rail Repair Solutions Within Three Years Of Euro 5 Emissions Legislation
Delphi Product & Service Solutions has launched its most comprehensive Common Rail repair programme for DFP 3 and 6 Common Rail pumps, and DFI 1.5 Common Rail injectors to support Euro 5 emissions standards in the aftermarket. There are more than three million vehicles on the road today fitted with Delphi’s Euro 5 fuel injection system, and this number is expected to increase significantly over the next five years.
“DThe DFP 6 Common Rail pump is fitted with a single plunger, roller and shoe system, and generates high pressure diesel in the injection system. Featuring 2,000 bar capability, the launch covers Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen applications.
Also with up to 2,000 bar capability, the DFP3 pumps are fitted with three and two plunger designs. A transfer pump is optional and the pumps have an inlet metering valve, fuel robustness and high speed capabilities. DFP3 pumps cover Citroën, Dacia, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, Renault, and Ssangyong applications.
Delphi’s fast solenoid DFI 1.5 diesel fuel injectors for light duty vehicles feature up to 2,000 bar injection rate capabilities with increased multiple injections and minimum separation. The injector has a Combined Valve Adaptor (CVA), increased reliability with the Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) nozzle and is compatible with worldwide fuels.
Applications include popular Chevrolet, Citroën, Dodge, Ford, Great Wall, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes Benz, Opel, Peugeot, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles.
Diagnose, remove, repair and refit Delphi common rail (CR) systems efficiently.
Used in conjunction with Hartridge test equipment and Delphi IRIS software, Delphi helps to ensure its authorised repair network can diagnose, remove, repair and refit Delphi CR systems in the correct and most efficient way. Only Delphi’s authorised repair network with this equipment is capable of completing repairs on DFP3 and 6 pump repairs, and DFI1.5 injector repairs. Delphi provides an ongoing training curriculum to network members helping ensure Delphi authorised standards are met as technologies evolve.
Any operation on the pump or injector may generate contaminating particles that will cause malfunctions in the injection system. The sequence of ultrasound cleaning, rinsing or flushing is the only way to remove contamination from the injector body. Delphi’s process, tooling and final tests using Hartridge test equipment preserves the integrity of the solenoid injectors and high pressure pumps after repair operations.
As further support to its members, Delphi also recently launched its Common Rail network repair two-year warranty programme further ensuring its repaired Common Rail Delphi pumps and injectors are repaired with genuine Delphi components, competitively priced, diagnosed and tested using Delphi authorised test equipment and tools by qualified technicians, all backed by Delphi’s technical support system.
