Demanding Home Networking Applications

Connecting in the Hand

Broadcom continued to address the growing demand for digital content consumption on smartphones and tablets with the announcement of new products, partnerships, and customer wins. Connecting on the Go

As consumer demand for in-vehicle connectivity continues to grow, automotive manufacturers are under pressure to deliver competitive, innovative features while minimizing cost. At CES, Broadcom is demonstrating its BroadR-Reach® automotive portfolio — the broadest automotive Ethernet portfolio in the industry. Broadcom's automotive solutions allow multiple in-vehicle systems, such as infotainment and automated driver assistance, to simultaneously access information over a single twisted pair cable. By eliminating cumbersome cabling, automotive manufacturers can significantly reduce connectivity costs and cabling weight — making these features available to a much broader number of consumers.

Immediately following CES, Broadcom co-founder and chief technical officer Dr. Henry Samueli will open the IEEE's International Conference on Consumer Electronics 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center with a keynote titled Connecting Everything: Dream Becomes Reality on January 13.
