Expert systems integrator Boulting Technology is now offering its extensive industry expertise to help businesses maximise plant uptime. Boulting's new offering sees the company 'adopting’ customer sites in order to audit control systems, plan preventative maintenance and recommend risk reduction techniques. The service comes with 24-7 emergency support, 365 days a year as standard.

Boulting Technology's new service is available to any business with an automated plant and the layer-based pricing system is bespoke to individual clients.

Customers can pick from a comprehensive list of additional services when choosing a level of cover, including: risk mitigation, obsolescence planning, preventative maintenance, spares, repairs and emergency on-site response.

The service offering covers control systems, encompassing PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, communication networks and telemetry systems. Crucially to its clients, the focus is on preventative maintenance and mitigating risks before they have a chance to develop into downtime. With the new service, businesses will be safe in the knowledge there is a large team of experienced professionals on hand should the worst occur.

The service includes a flat fee for call out hours with no hidden charges for mileage or expenses. With flexible packages available including pre-pay blocks of hours, businesses can benefit by spreading their maintenance costs over the year.

"Ideally, the aim is to ensure we never need to be called out in an emergency by implementing proper planning and maintenance procedures," explains James Davey, service manager of Boulting Technology. "However, if a problem does occur, customers will benefit from a renowned systems integrator with the tools, knowledge and backing to get their system working again safely and in the shortest possible time.

"The total cost of our new service is negligible compared to the cost of downtime some businesses experience. Currently, we are working with a wide range of clients including many in the utility sector, who as part of the UK’s critical infrastructure, rely on Boulting to provide a high quality, reliable 24-7 on-site service.

Facilities covered by Boulting's new service are in safe hands. As an expert in legacy systems through to the latest control systems and industrial networks, the systems integrator is already an approved partner of Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi, Schneider, ABB, Janitza and Hirschmann. The company also holds the international quality standard ISO 9001 and environmental standard ISO 14001.
