According to the TrendForce forecast report released in May this year, the global high-performance computing market valued at approximately $36.8 billion in 2021 was expected to grow 7.3% to $39.7 billion in 2022, and would continue growing to $56.8 billion by 2027.

In terms of the application market, commercial applications have the largest market share at 50%, followed by national defence applications at 25%. Ideal for limited space and expandable to accommodate increase in workload, HPS-621U2A server supports 1st-Gen and 2nd-Gen Intel Xeon scalable processors, Intel C621 chipset, seven low-profile PCIe/PCI slots, and six DDR4 RDIMM and LRDIMM slots. Designed for flexible storage, HPS-621U2A provides four 5.25” storage bays which are convertible to 2.5 or 3.5” drive bays depending on requirement. Furthermore, it supports M.2 M-key PCIe 3.0x4 NVMe SSD and is equipped with a wide variety of I/O interfaces (1 x RS232, 1 x VGA, 4 x RJ-45 network connectors), 500W 80 plus gold PSU with at least 87% efficiency rating, and four fans which save energy consumption through IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) 2.0 while achieving excellent heat dissipation.

Continuing the high-flexibility configuration of the Avalue HPC series, HPS-621U2A also provides customised choices, i.e., either the L6 barebone system or L10 fully completed system, according to customers’ requirements.
