Audio Precision Chairman, Bruce Hofer to give AES Keynote Speech

The next Audio Engineering Society Conference, scheduled to take place at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom at the end of June, has a distinguished Keynote Speaker: Bruce Hofer, Chairman and co-founder of Audio Precision, the recognised standard in audio test.



A widely respected electrical engineer and analogue design expert for over 40 years, and an AES member since the late 1970s, Hofer helped to found Audio Precision in 1984, following nearly 15 years at Tektronix, and can still be found working hard at his AP test bench every day. Under his guidance, Audio Precision has moved with the times, progressing from the precision analogue test and measurement instruments he helped to design to the company's current digital offerings, but always retaining the high design standards expected of a T&M market leader.



Hofer's long career and his reputation as a 'grand old duke of analogue' at the head of a company renowned for the accuracy of its measurements gives him a unique perspective on the world of audio design. He is expected to bring this insight to his 40-minute keynote speech, which shares the Conference title: 'The Ins & Outs of Audio'.
