/> The MIC design utilises GaAs PHEMT distributed amplifier MMIC technology, together with proprietary matching circuits within a robust die-cast aluminium alloy housing which also contains a rechargeable NiMH battery. A battery charger is supplied with each unit. The amplifier is fitted with precision type N connectors, male input and female output as standard.

This unique amplifier is intended for use in a wide range of applications where corded input power is either unavailable or undesirable, such as within anechoic chambers for EMC testing, at remote antenna sites or alongside portable radar, countermeasures and communications test equipment.

The fully charged battery has a typical run time of 24 hours and standby time of 28 days thereby comfortably handling a day’s EMC testing or field trials.

Measuring 175 x 80 x 60 mm the amplifier is enclosed in a matt black housing with a choice of either axial or radial connector locations and options of male/female precision type N, SMA or other connector series.
