AtlanTecRF claims a unique concept in amplifier applications
Believed to be the first of its kind, the new BOX-010200 amplifier from AtlanTecRF, the UK based microwave components and equipment manufacturer, provides a portable and rugged gain block for situations where cordless operation is either essential or preferred. It is a self-contained battery powered amplifier providing 25dB of gain across the whole 1-20GHz frequency range with typically +13dBm output power at the 1dB gain compression point and 3-5dB noise figure.
This unique amplifier is intended for use in a wide range of applications where corded input power is either unavailable or undesirable, such as within anechoic chambers for EMC testing, at remote antenna sites or alongside portable radar, countermeasures and communications test equipment.
Geoff Burling, AtlanTecRF C.E.O. stated “This amplifier will provide a distinct advantage to those who either do not have or do not want additional power input cables within the test environment and we believe the concept to be completely new in the RF/microwave industry”.
The fully charged battery has a typical run time of 24 hours and standby time of 28 days thereby comfortably handling a day’s EMC testing or field trials.
Measuring 175 x 80 x 60 mm the amplifier is enclosed in a matt black housing with a choice of either axial or radial connector locations and options of male/female precision type N, SMA or other connector series.
