Arrow Electronics has signed an agreement with Israeli start-up SensiEDGE and will offer the company’s products through its operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. The first product available through the collaboration is the SensiBLE Internet of Things (IoT) system-on-module (SoM).

“Joining the Arrow SoM program is a logical step for SensiEDGE as the company continues to expand”, says Milan Yudkovich, CEO and Founder SensiEDGE. “We now look forward to helping Arrow customers bring their designs to the market at a much faster speed.”

The SensiBLE IoT SoM is a fully customisable solution for developers who want to focus on their own applications and core competencies rather than the underlying hardware platform or production logistics when creating products for the IoT.

Based around an ARM Cortex-M4, it is equipped with Bluetooth 4.1 low energy connectivity and sensors for pressure, temperature, ambient light and humidity plus a 3-axis accelerometer, magnetometer and digital gyroscope.

This functionality is contained within an extremely compact (20mm x 30mm) form factor. Suitable applications for the SensiBLE SoM include fitness and blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, smart plugs and wearable sensors.

SensiEDGE has also signed up to Arrow’s newly created SoM Program and sits within the Microcontroller/IoT Program layer.

The initiative, which also includes layers for Community Boards, Embedded Vision and Embedded Processors, is designed to help companies get their products to production-ready state as quickly as possible.

This is facilitated by providing a choice of building blocks that can accelerate development.

An evaluation board for the SensiBLE SoM is available now from Arrow Electronics.
