Anritsu selected for major Next Generation IMS project
Anritsu A/S, a global provider of Advanced Operations Support Systems (OSS)and Advanced Business support Systems for Next Generation and converged networks, announced today that their MasterClaw™ System has been selected to monitor one of the worlds largest deployments of Next Generation Networks based on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), the technology that supports the migration of many services to a network with an IP core.
Gerald Ostheimer, Managing Director Anritsu A/S said “This is a strong confirmation that the changes we are making at Anritsu are really delivering benefits to our customers. We are building a world leading company, with world leading products and people focussed on close customer partnerships. Every aspect of our business was examined under a microscope before this selection.”
“Deploying services using IMS is really starting to gain traction with many of our customers. Anritsu is at the forefront of ensuring that services over IMS meet subscriber demands for reliability and performance.” said Neil Tomlinson. “The ability to pro-actively monitor and troubleshoot services, before customers report problems, is paramount. IMS introduces new equipment, new protocols and added complexity to the network. Simplifying complex networks is one of the MasterClaw™ System’s primary objectives. We are seeing a lot of interest in MasterClaw™ when operators move from traditional networks to next generation IMS solutions”.
IMS monitoring is an application of Anritsu’s MasterClaw™ network monitoring system. MasterClaw™ is a multi-domain solution for troubleshooting, managing services and managing the quality of subscriber experience in fixed, mobile and hybrid networks. MasterClaw™ IMS provides Real-Time network connectivity and performance analysis across traditional Domains such as TDM, VoIP incl. Voice Quality, Mobile Core and Access and the IMS Domain (SIP, DNS and Diameter) with the latest 3GPP release 8 supporting LTE in a single Platform.
