electronica Has A New Exhibition Director

On January 1, 2013, Anke Odouli took over as the new Exhibition Director for electronica, the International Trade Fair for Electronic Components, Systems and Applications. Nicole Schmitt, who had been Exhibition Director since 2005, is the new Exhibition Group Director. As such, she is responsible for the strategic orientation and global growth of trade fairs in the global electronics network of Messe München GmbH.

The new Exhibition Director, Anke Odouli, is an experienced Exhibition Manager. She has been working for electronica in the Business Unit for New Technologies since 2007. Therefore, Odouli, who has a degree in communication sciences, brings years of experience in exhibition management to the job. Before that, she worked at the Messe München Foreign Representative’s office in New York.

Anke Odouli reports to Nicole Schmitt who, in her role as Exhibition Group Director, has been responsible for the global network of electronics trade fairs since September 2011. Besides electronica and productronica in Munich, that includes their foreign spin-off events in India and China.

As part of reorganizing the Business Unit for New Technologies at Messe München, responsibilities for the network of electronics fairs were reassigned and the Exhibition Group was expanded to include an additional exhibition-management team. By making this change, Messe München is taking the growth of its international network of electronics events into account.
