Agilent Technologies Inc. has received this year's Frost & Sullivan award for market-share leadership in global wireless test equipment.
Agilent's huge success can be attributed to its broad product line, which caters to a major part of the wireless communications market, said Olga Yashkova, program manager at Frost & Sullivan. Moreover, its extensive focus on research and development combined with its ability to develop products in line with market requirements has earned the company an exceptional level of customer loyalty.

Agilent offers an extensive range of test equipment for base station and mobile device testing for both design and manufacturing test. Design test solutions include SystemVue Electronic System-Level design software, which offers a complete electronic design automation environment to create next-generation wireless communications systems. Component testing tools include Signal Studio software used to configure test signals for use on Agilent vector signal generators such as the MXG, and 89600B VSA (vector signal analysis) software, a leading tool for finding and fixing signal problems during R&D.

For base station testing, X-Series signal analyzers offer four performance levels for the PXA (ideal for the most demanding power-amplifier testing) and the MXA. These analyzers are available with the latest measurement applications, including LTE-Advanced FDD and TDD. Mobile device testing is supported on the 8960 series and its mobile test applications.

Test solutions from Agilent include LTE, LTE-Advanced, MIMO, WiMAX™, RFID, WLAN, Bluetooth® and others. Agilent's expert engineers develop test equipment and systems ahead of the technology wave - clearing the path for customers to develop the components, modules and devices that connect the world. Agilent also participates in various global standards organizations and works with countless design, development, integration and manufacturing engineers to deliver the most current industry test tools.
