Analog Devices will unveil new technologies for precision control, measurement, and monitoring solutions for industrial and instrumentation, healthcare, and automotive applications at electronica 2010, November 9-12, 2010, in Munich, Germany.
The company will feature a series of demonstrations at its stand (Hall 4, Stand 159) that showcase ADI’s latest innovations in data conversion, high-performance linear, motion sensing, RF (radio frequency), and DSP (digital signal processing) technologies as they are being applied to a wide range of applications.

The demonstrations and new product announcements will include the following:

Industrial Demos Showcase New Technologies

ADI engineers will demonstrate new developments for the following industrial and instrumentation applications:

· Energy Metering: an energy measurement and wireless communications system remotely monitoring power consumption and communicating information over a wireless link using ADI’s new integrated ISM band transceiver with ARM® Cortex™ processor core (to be announced at the show)

· Instrumentation: a low-power, high-precision water quality monitoring system using a wireless communication network and featuring ADI’s new integrated ISM band transceiver with ARM Cortex processor core (to be announced at the show).

· Motor Control: a complete ADI motor-control signal chain development platform

· Process Control: a high-performance, loop-powered 4-mA to 20-mA transmitter and PLC (programmable logic controller) board for process control applications

· Security: a multimedia access-control entry system with both voice and video links between outdoor and indoor units

· Robotics: MEMS-based telepresence robots for industrial inspection and surveillance

Healthcare Demos Advance Patient Monitoring and In-home Diagnostics

ADI technology specialists will present new technologies for the following healthcare applications:

· Medical Imaging: a 64-channel ultrasound scanner leveraging ADI’s data conversion, amplifier and signal processing technology and system-level design expertise

· Patient Monitoring: a bedside patient monitor incorporating ADI’s Blackfin® processor and analogue precision signal processing components

· Medical Instrumentation: a point-of-care testing platform designed for OEMs developing blood analysis platforms

· Home Health and Wellness: handheld consumer medical devices for gauging the severity of asthma attacks

Automotive Demos Emphasise Passive and Active Safety Systems

ADI engineers will demonstrate the following developments for automotive applications:

· Driver Assistance: a vision-based lane departure warning system based on the ADI Blackfin processor.

· Passive Safety Systems: a MEMS-based airbag deployment system

Max Liberman, marketing manager for ADI’s MEMS and Sensor Group, will participate in the panel discussion “MEMS in Automotive” on Thursday, November 11th (13:00 to 14:00 hrs, Hall location to be announced) moderated by iSuppli Corp. analyst, Richard Dixon.

Additionally, Wayne Meyer, marketing and applications manager for ADI’s MEMS and Sensor Group, will participate in a “MEMS in Consumer” panel discussion on Wednesday, November 10th (12:00 to 13:00 hrs, Hall location to be announced) moderated by iSuppli analyst, Jérémie Bouchard.
