Europlacer, announces that it has added a new member to its sales team this month – North American Sales Manager Chris Merow.
As North American Sales Manager, Merow will be responsible for managing customer relationships throughout North America and ensuring complete satisfaction with Europlacer’s pick-and-place equipment and customer support. Merow’s experience in the electronics manufacturing industry prior to joining Europlacer spans nearly 15 years.

Since 1997, he has held sales and marketing management and business development positions including VP of sales with Blue Thunder Technologies, sales manager with JBC Tools USA, manufacturers’ representative with Assembly Products Inc. and, most recently, senior program manager and customer service manager with New Age Technologies. At New Age Technologies, a leading provider, Merow was deeply involved with all PCB assembly requirements and gained invaluable experience that will enable him to excel in serving Europlacer’s EMS customers and understanding their motivations and challenges firsthand.

“I chose to work with Europlacer after investigating the company’s extensive — and incredibly satisfied — customer base, professional service organization and advanced SMT equipment technology,” said Merow. “Europlacer continues to drive SMT productivity solutions further than anyone; they thoughtfully engineer extremely low maintenance SMT pick-and-place equipment with large feeder/part capacity, ultra-flexible head/nozzle technology and large PCB capability — all with surprisingly fast, real-time placement horsepower. I am really excited to get started.”
“Chris is a perfect fit for Europlacer’s customer-focused environment and we are excited to add his extensive experience with both equipment technology and contract PCB manufacturing to our customer support arsenal,” said John Perrotta, VP of Europlacer North America. Chris is well-known and respected throughout the electronics industry, and has a reputation for hard work, honesty and putting customers’ needs first. All of these traits match up perfectly with Europlacer’s business model.”
Merow is a graduate of Westfield State College in Westfield, MA.
