A milestone for industrial customers
SOS electronic, a strong partner for Conrad’s industrial customer base and its years of sector knowledge and experience, has reinforced Conrad's established digital platform and product offering of currently more than three million articles.
"With the integration of SOS electronic in Conrad's digital platform, SOS electronic’s vast expertise is now directly accessible to all our B2B customers," commented Ralf Bühler, CSO of Conrad Electronic.
“As an independent entity within the Conrad family, SOS electronic brings in unique products, support and services that perfectly address our industrial customer base. Their inclusion adds strength and depth to our B2B-first strategy.”
Digital from the outset
Both companies were amongst the first pioneers making use of the Internet. SOS electronic, headquartered in Slovakia, has been active for 28 years as an independent distributor on the international electronics market.
In 1997, SOS electronic first entered web-based sales by registering a web domain as one of the first 100 companies in Slovakia. In 2003, the company launched its first online shop and made their complete product assortment available to customers as an e-catalogue. In 2013, SOS electronic joined the Conrad Electronic family business.
B2B-first: one process, one partner
Another commonality between Conrad and SOS electronic is that both companies are not just electronics distributors, but offer greater value through comprehensive services and technical support to their customers. SOS electronic sees itself also as a distributor of leading global and quality brands for the automation, components, measuring equipment and power supplies sectors.
Specialising in design-in support and wholesale solutions, comprehensive on-site and technical support is available throughout all development and life cycle stages.
These services are an integral part of the company’s offering to industrial customers. SOS electronic can process large volume shipments for series production, can meet custom-specific industry requirements and can provide support for customers with the development, sales and promotion of electronic products. The services are complemented with a range of available webinars, hands-on labs and workshops.
“Becoming a part of the Conrad family has given us access to new resources and know-how, which has allowed us to further enhance our project business model and service. By integrating our offering into Conrad's digital platform, we can offer even more to our customers,” said Ján Seszták, CEO of SOS electronic.
