New look for Murata highlights brand promise

With the aim to better express the company's philosophy and brand promise "Innovator in Electronics", Murata has unvelied a new visual identity with changes to the corporate logo and other visual identity elements.

"The world of electronics keeps changing, and Murata is expanding to new applications and exploring new technologies to meet the changing market needs. Murata today is a global company of over 37,000 employees, all sharing the same principles and servicing our customers with same global standards. We hope that our new visual identity implemented globally also better expresses Murata philosophy and our commitment to innovation", says President Tsuneo Murata.

He continues, “The new visual identity does not bring any dramatic change to the logo but improves its readability and visibility through subtle fine-tuning. The capital letter "R" still continues to symbolize Murata's focus on Research and Development while the removal of the red box around the logo shows Murata's collaboration with customers and partners, and our openness to new technologies.”
